Installation of GreenZone® Termite Management System
GreenZone® offers versatile application methods. Below are the key installation areas and specific site requirements for optimal protection.
1. Service Penetrations
Installation around all service penetrations through the slab using either expansion foam wrapping or pre-formed socks.
Clean pipe surfaces free of dirt, concrete, adhesives, grease, and oil. Proper pipe preparation ensures optimal adhesion.
Socks are slid over pipes and positioned correctly.

2. Perimeter Applications
Continuous barrier installation around the building perimeter using either expansion foam or perimeter system.
Clean and smooth concrete slab edge with proper surface preparation. Removal of formwork and moisture barriers as required.
Products are secured using appropriate adhesives or mechanical fasteners, ensuring continuous coverage without gaps.
3. Expansion Joints
Installation in concrete slab expansion joints, providing both joint functionality and termite protection in a single application.
Proper joint preparation with clean surfaces and appropriate joint width for foam installation.
Expansion foam is cut to size and installed to fill the joint completely, ensuring proper compression and adhesion.

4. Post-Construction
Remedial installation using backer rod and termite paint system for existing structures.
Clean, dry surfaces free of contaminants. Proper surface preparation for optimal paint adhesion.
Backer rod installed in gaps, followed by application of termite paint using brush, roller, or caulking gun.
Builder & Trade Responsibilities
Coordination is key to preserving the barrier's integrity.
Brick Layers
Must avoid disturbing installed products during brickwork. Proper integration with masonry ensures the barrier isn't compromised.
Plumbers
Critical to prevent pipe installations from breaching the barrier. Pipes must be installed through designated penetration points treated with GreenZone®.
Concreters
Must ensure clean slab edges and proper preparation for adhesion. The surface must be free of debris for the barrier to bond effectively.
Steel Workers
Need to avoid interference with GreenZone® products during steel reinforcement installation. Care must be taken not to tear or displace foam.
Carpenters
Must understand layout and positioning to prevent damage during framing operations. Fixings should not create new, untreated entry points.

Coordination with Tri4
Our rapid response team is available for on-site support. Immediate communication is required if the product is damaged to ensure repair and compliance with Australian standards.
Maintenance & Inspection
GreenZone® is maintenance-free once installed. However, annual termite inspections (AS 3660.1) are mandatory to maintain the product warranty and ensure ongoing protection.
Notify us of any renovations or landscaping changes, as a reassessment of the barrier system may be necessary.
